S.R.Gopal Rao Opticians and Optometrists is a cherished name with a legacy of offering services in optometry and opticians since the late 19th century. Formed on the principles of trust and care, it is a brand with a commitment to precision-driven vision care and personalised attention, values it has become synonymous with.
Concept 01
We opened the first retail based myopia management centre to tackle the growing concerns around myopia. the purpose of the centre is to spread awareness and sensitise the people in urban cities like Bangalore about the challenges that they and their kids face around this issue. It took us one year to open the centre. This was not a copy paste model but something well researched and done in good faith with our partners at Zeiss. Not only have we done extensive R&D around the necessary equipment needed but we have also invested in training and upskilling our team to support the needs of the centre. Our chief optometrist is highly qualified and with her we have a visiting ophthalmologist in order to make the solutions provided robust and complete for all age groups of children.
Concept 02
Our entire centre follows 26 comprehensive steps before we arrive at prescription, solution and finally the advice given to the patient. Follow up is absolutely necessary in this case so as to ensure that the treatment is sound and working well on the patient. Our systems support such follow up processes and records all necessary details.
Moreover it is thanks to our faith in the concept and tech that has led to this collaborative initiative with Zeiss which also looks like a promising vertical for them. The wholistic development of the centre and our commitment to it, ensure its success. We still have a lot to explore.
