TOWER OPTICS. Started in 1988 by Sanjay Mehta 2 years before completing his Bachelor Degree in Optometry. Over the years TOWER OPTICS has become a leading practice of real and complete EYECARE. Coming from a humble but enterprising background has been able to set a different benchmark in Chennai. With the able support from the Optical and Optometric fraternity it has set a benchmark of what an Eye Care practice should be. Sanjay Mehta has saved at least 7 pair of eyes by detecting Glaucoma , one of the 2nd most cause for blindness in India. This year Sanjay Mehta’s E Posters has been selected successively for the 2nd time at the most prestigious Optometry Event Dr E.Vaithalingam Memorial Scientific Session 2022 & 2023. Also Madras Optician Association honored him in July 2022 for his dedicated service to the Society.

Ocular Coherence Tomography
DESCRIPTION
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is a non-invasive diagnostic technique that renders an in vivo cross sectional view of the retina. OCT utilizes a concept known as inferometry to create a cross-sectional map of the retina that is accurate to within at least 10-15 microns. This helps in diagnosis of many retinal diseases like diabetic retinopathy, macular diaseases, Glaucoma , Neurological Conditions.

A visual field test (perimetry) will detect loss of peripheral vision and provide a map of that loss which will be helpful in diagnosing the cause of the loss.This accurate , portable, head mounted perimeter is the most important device in detecting Glaucoma ,Retinal Diseases & Neurological Conditions.

The HNT 1P Non Contact Tonometer comes with the Pachymeter and the Anterior chamber angle measurement which helps in detecting GLAUCOMA immediately.

TOWER OPTICS was started by Sanjay Mehta in the year 1988 two years prior to his completing his Bachelor Degree in Optometry in the year 1990 at Elite School of Optometry, Chennai. He has combined a perfect mix of Entrepreneurship , Professionalism, Upgradation in his practice in the last 32 years keeping his practice Updated. He has given innumerable lectures in Optometry , Dispensing and Soft Skills at various Forums. Successively his Eposter on Glaucoma and Importance of Yearly Eye Check Up were selected in the year 2022 and 2023 at the prestigious Dr E.Vaithalingam Memorial Seminar. Last year he was honored by Madras Opticians Association for his contribution to the Optometric and Optician Community. The feather on his cap was added when his Clinical practice was adjudged as the Best in the Metro Category by ZEISS YOU & EYE for the year 2022.
