Another Date For Blackfin With Andrea Bocelli And Il Teatro Del Silenzio

Once again this year Blackfin has renewed its partnership with Andrea Bocelli and the Associazione Teatro del Silenzio at the traditional annual concert in the atmospheric Teatro di Lajatico, the Maestro home town, in the Province of Pisa

“We are delighted to be able to continue working with the Associazione Teatro del Silenzio and with its Honorary President Andrea Bocelli. Andrea is a great singer but, above all, he is a person of great value and absolute generosity, a model for and emblem of Italy the world over. Our partnership began last year with the event in Tuscany which also means to us a set of ideals shared by two exponents of the most authentic way of being Italian”– says Nicola Del Din, CEO of Blackfin.

blackfin-for-teatro-del-silenzioAs well as supporting the Association and the concert, Blackfin has created four special, limited-edition models – Weston BF760, Brunswick BF761, San Diego BF766 and Palm Beach BF767 – personalised with the marking ‘Blackfin for Teatro del Silenzio’ which were presented as a gift to Maestro Bocelli, the conductor of the orchestra Marcello Rota, and to all the guest artists appeared on the stage. What’s more, during the interval the giant screens showed the neomadeinitaly video shot this year by Blackfin to tell the story of what it really means to be Italian, in its most profound sense. This is not just an eyewear story, first and foremost, it is a story built on commitment and care, a tale of people and their smiles and feelings, of landscapes, of challenges and courage, with no compromises.

Now in its 11th year, the concert attracted an ever-growing number of impassioned fans who every year travel to Lajatico from all over the world to a unique songfest set against the magical backdrop of the natural amphitheatre of Alta Valdera.

The title of this year’s show was Le Cirque, a theme personally chosen by Andrea Bocelli because just like an opera, the circus presents a complete picture of song, music, dance and performance. For the occasion Bocelli sang a repertory of some of the most famous opera arias joined by an exceptional international cast including soprano Sumi Jo and baritone Leo Nucci, with the chorus and orchestra of the Carlo Felice Theatre of Genoa, conducted by Marcello Rota, with stage direction by Luca Tommassini.
