Shwood Eyewear comes out with its latest collection integrating the genuine Atlantic vinyl records into eyewear that looks as effortless as the music it embodies
With over 60 years of recorded music history, Atlantic Records has introduced some of the most influential and iconic artists of all time to the world. In honor of these musicians and their craft, Shwood Eyewear has come out with a new collection that captures perfectly the true essence of this legacy. Two versions of Shwood’s classic Canby shape, the Canby Fifty/Fifty and Canby Select Atlantic projects a chic look with the subtle grooves of the vinyl blend and premium Mazzucchelli acetate.
A limited stock of 250 pieces, the Canby Select Atlantic, is made up of Atlantic Vinyl Record exterior finish, inlaid metal Atlantic logo, Santos Mahogany interior, Birch core construction, polarised lenses and spring hinges for the extra comfort. Each Shwood for Atlantic Canby Select comes along with a custom box that is crafted from Santos Mahogany with genuine vinyl record finishing and bears both Shwood and Atlantic logos. The selection of woods are all sustainably-harvested from authorised and supervised plantations across the globe. Only the most premium-grade lumber is hand-selected to ensure rich tones and attractive grain patterns.
The Canby Fifty/Fifty, similar to the Canby Select Atlantic with the inlaid metal Atlantic Records logo is a premium Mazzucchelli acetate with 5-Barrel hinges and Carl Zeiss lenses. Each pair of Shwood for Atlantic Records Fifty/Fifty sunglasses comes packaged in a co-branded commemorative box. Cellulose acetate is a natural and renewable material derived from cotton and wood pulp. Lightweight and extremely strong, this environmentally friendly material boasts a unique warmth that can only be found in nature.
