The Robert Rüdger collection pays homage to the classic spectacles frame
The Austrian brand was relaunched last year thanks to a collaborative effort between the well-known designer Rudi Himmelfreundpointner and Elisio Tessaro, Area98’s art director and marketing manager.

Clean lines, classic colours, warm tones for timelessly elegant frames. Innovation lies in the frames’ noble, sophisticated materials: horn, wood and titanium mixed together using state-of-the-art production techniques. Glasses with class and quality. This year, carbon fibre is used for the first time. This very light material adds a modern touch to the frame.
In keeping with tradition, the collection also includes an iconic model, a direct link between the time-honoured brand style and its current revisitation. RR027 is an intellectual frame with a vintage look: perfectly round, beautiful horn rims are joined by an original spring bridge made of titanium as are the temples. There are two prescription frames plus a limited-edition sunglasses version.
RR023 stands for extreme elegance. With a panto shape and keyhole bridge, this model’s originality is in the materials: a horn frame front and wooden temples, a sublime blend of style and quality.

A combination of different materials characterises the RR029 model. The interior/exterior two-tone frame front is made of TR98, an exclusive, exceptionally light thermoplastic that is very strong and flexible, while the temples are inlaid with two small, wood and horn plates. A classic frame of sophisticated construction.
Innovation rhymes with tradition in the square model RR033, which contains all the materials used in the collection: metal rims, horn top bar, rubber tips and temples made of wood outside and carbon inside. The perfect synthesis of Robert Rüdger style!
