Paris based designer Bernhard Willhelm and German housed MYKITA eyewear comes up with a new model named SPRECKELS
The SPRECKELS frame designed by MYKITA and Bernhard Willhelm is inspired by American surfing legend Bunker Spreckels and draws on the shape and colours worn by the style king of the Seventies surfing scene. Available in three new colour editions for the summer 2015, the options to choose from are Beige/White with Orange lenses, Dark Green/White with Green lenses and Smoke/Black with Black lenses.
The collaboration since 2009, MYKITA and Bernhard Willhelm have fused innovative cuts and quotes of contemporary pop culture with an array of dazzling glass colours to keep the fresh quotient always on its peak. The inspiration of this model, Bunker Spreckels was an exceptional surfer in the 1960s and 1970s, who died at a young age of 27, leaving behind his wealth of stories and legends.
The seventies frame SPRECKELS model by MYKITA and Bernhard Willhelm features extended sides on the frame front for a weary, melancholic look with certified Zeiss precision lenses and 100% UVA and UVB protection for the eyes on a summers day.
