Maui Jim comes out with new high impact sports eyewear ‘Waterman’, taking sunglass performance to the next level
For the sports enthusiast who loves to indulge in water games and other high paced sports activities such as cycling, rock climbing, running, Maui Jim has come out with a new sports eyewear called the ‘Waterman’ sunglasses. Meeting the twin needs for high level of protection and super comfort, Maui Jim’s latest addition of sunglasses are ideal for lovers of water sports and other high impact activities. The durable frame features an attached adjustable head strap for a day of heavy activity without sunglasses slipping or falling off. With its strap support and unbelievably light texture, the eyewear slips on to a diver’s eyes with extreme comfort. 
Waterman has characteristics unlike any other Maui Jim sunglasses. With strategically placed lens vents to quickly dry water captured inside the lens, Waterman allows for maximum air circulation, less wind resistance and fog-free vision. The lightweight nylon frame has a soft rubber inlay that completely cups your eyes in aerodynamic, wind-breaking lens protection. The contoured temple design easily slips under helmets. Then, tighten the whole frame down for a wild ride using the fully-adjustable, cushioned head strap that holds securely in place for a day of activity without slipping or falling off. The hardware is anti-corrosive.
Maui Jim’s polycarbonate lenses have nine layers of protection from 100 percent of UV rays and 99.9 per cent of glare on both sides of each lens. The amazing clarity and colour that one can see through the lenses is enhanced by the use of three rare earth elements that also improve definition and depth perception. The lenses have waterproof and oleophobic coatings to shed water and repel smudges, as well as proprietary CLEARSHELL® scratch-resistant coating to reduce scratches.
Waterman comes in four colour combinations: Matte Black with Neutral Grey lenses, Matte Rootbeer with HCL® Bronze lenses, White with Maui Rose® lenses and Titanium with Maui HT™ lenses. Waterman is a terrific fit for medium-to-large-sized faces. This style has an eye size of 63.5 mm, bridge size of 17 mm, temple length of 125 mm, and an 8-base curvature. All Maui Jim sunglasses have been recommended by The Skin Cancer Foundation as an effective UV filter for the eyes and surrounding skin.
