The new Marni SS 2016 collection combines sophisticated styles with contemporary volume to embody the brand’s artsy and elusive spirit
ME100S
Presented at the Uomo PE16 fashion show, this style features circular lenses enclosed in a thick frame that is completed with a double bridge. The frame is made of galvanized metal with a matte black finish.
ME602S
The round lenses contrast with the linear, pronounced browlines that extend along the temples. The colour scheme combines the saturated shades of the acetate temples and browlines with the galvanized metal rims.
ME601S
Already shown at Resort 2016, this model features a unique design that is created by cutting away one vertical acetate layer over another. This design concept emphasises the colour of the frame and creates transparencies that blend with the tone of the lenses.
ME603S
The frame front progressively tapers down from the prominent, rounded corners until it almost vanishes, creating an unfinished effect that complements the thickness of the temples. The palette of saturated colours – a typical feature of Marni glasses – is accentuated by the metal bridge and rims that are either gold or silver.
