The Spanish luxury brand has launched a new sunglasses collection with innovative models for men and women
Loewe, the Spanish luxury brand, has launched its new 2014 Sunglasses collection that’s a perfect reinterpretation of the craftsmanship so integral to its origins. The new collection employs the most innovative materials to create unique and cutting edge pieces.
Women’s Collection:
Crafted metal, dainty leather inlays and delicately decorated temples – treated as if they were jewels in themselves – provide the touch of distinction and elegance in the women’s collection. Inspired by its iconic handbags, Loewe has developed a unique collection of sunglasses that add a modern and youthful air – such as the three-dimensional logo in several colours or the mirrored lenses. Retro-inspired silhouettes (oversized, aviator and cat’s eye) along with colours ranging from light shades (gray, earth or peach) to more vibrant ones (burgundy, blue, grape or coral) result in a perfect balance of modernity and tradition.
The collection includes:
Amazona Metal (SLW427) – This model takes after the iconic padlock decorating the Amazona handbag by Loewe. More than a decorative detail, the padlock is a symbol. This timeless aviator design, with a metal frame, slender temples and shiny enameled acetate tips highlight the iconic padlock featured on the side.
Nappa Leather (SLW842) – The 70s style and rounded, oversized front is made of acetate with an inward degrade effect. The wide temples and the intertwining of leather and acetate create a chic and original look.
Anagram (SLW846) – The rims of this model are made of tinted acetate in contrasting colours and their lines are simple and straight, while the temples feature the house anagram in fluorescent shades.
Men’s Collection:
The new collection for men includes basic, timeless models teeming with details and embellished with noble materials such as leather or wood. Inspired by the Amazona handbag for men, Loewe has come up with a wide variety of models, ranging from the classical metal aviator model to a wide, plastic rectangular model.
A few light touches of distinction turn these men’s sunglasses into unique models for sober and contemporary men.
SLW851 – This model revisits retro thanks to the straight lines of the frame in see-through acetate, the contrasting temples in black/green horn, and the silkscreen printed logo.
