Labor-intensive craftsmanship and evocative symbols characterise the Spring Summer 2016 Eyewear Collection – Giardini Italiani, Diva, Parentesi and Bulgari-Bulgari.
Giardini Italiani retraces the fine symmetries and classic proportions of the most beautiful Italian gardens. Delicately-hued butterfly shapes or more rectangular profiles ooze femininity, a-glitter with hand set Austrian crystals that bloom into geometric floral patterns and trellis decors, secretly interspersed with mother of pearl enamel. The front décor recalls the delicacy of a butterfly wing flap, as light as the dew effect of the top layer.
This style also includes new bi-layer colour top variant with defined geometric arms evoking the shapes of hedges and flowerbeds.
Winking at Bulgari’s star-studded history, the Diva collection is also inspired by the fan-shaped mosaics that decorate the ancient Roman Baths of Caracalla. The arched shaped motif trickles into new sunglasses with bold and tridimensional glamour. Besides a timeless aviator model, the sensual feline shapes feature a new mosaic fantasy while the temples are adorned with an all-round Diva spirit obtained with hand-chiseled clusters of crystals and enamel.
This season, Bulgari also revives its signature Parentesi design interpreted with a fresh and modern hand. Trendy acetate frames, in either solids or patterned hues with a design that draws from the San Pietrini blocks, typical of Roman alleys, feature a metal bridge nose while the temples are adorned with one of Bulgari’s best known creative designs: Parentesi.
A touch of emerald green and berry tourmaline precious karung skin profile refreshes the Bulgari-Bulgari line, a timeless code capturing the sophisticated side of the trendy-urban woman.
