The essential geometric silhouettes reflect the bold proportions of the Maison’s garments with fashion forward charm; the skilful use of leather and metal inserts recalls the iconic tailor-made spirit of the fashion house, while a variety of experimentations with materials leads to innovative acetates with marbled, bubble or matte effects, conveying an exclusive metropolitan appeal.
New nuances and melange or striped effects enrich the colour palette, further embellishing the appearance of the frames.
Balenciaga spring-summer 2016’s sunglass collection has a wide range to choose from. The BA0052 model presents signature Balenciaga motifs. The famous torchon detail that distinguishes the temples is now enriched with new nuances and a metal core enclosed between the two layers of acetate that define the silhouette. The shiny insert also underlines the front, which stands out in traditional tones of black and vintage havana, as well as the unusual hues of marbled green or ice with captivating matte finishes.
The unique BA0054 frame has the pure appearance of a natural element like water with its “bubble” effect, which originates an exclusive and singular style. Lightweight temples overlap the wide, cat-eye shaped front while smoked lenses and fine metal profiles further refine the look, giving this futuristic model a floating appearance. The model is available in translucent shades of crystal, blue and light grey.
In the optical collection, amongst the many models, the BA5040 style exudes femininity and metropolitan charm. Two different acetates enliven the polygonal shaped front and comfortable temple tips, producing unexpected colour effects.The model is available in black or havana paired with crystal, in addition to dark green or brown melange options, while the moulded metal temples contrast and stand out on the frame, delivering a modern appeal.
