Founded in 1977 by Sarsolkar Brothers, MUKTA OPTICIANS offers eye wear services which is known for quality at affordable price. The vision to provide best quality eye care service has been the dream and passion of the proprietor Mr.Kishor Sarsolkar and Mukta Opticians have been successful in providing best quality vision possible to the customers. MUKTA OPTICIANS currently serves over a hundred thousand customers in state of Goa and Maharashtra and Karnataka and employs more than 50 people in the greater Goa across its retail outlets in Mapusa, Sawantwadi, Comba, Curchorem, Margao, Panaji, Belgaum and head office at Dhargal, Goa. In light of the growing need for eye care in our country, Mukta opticians aims to provide quality eye care services to the community in need. Realizing that more than 75% of the worldís blindness is preventable or treatable, Mukta opticians operate a fully functional mobile eye clinic with latest technology to reach out to remote villages and have been organizing free eye care camps since 2009. Conducting more than 500 camps, Mukta Opticians have done eye screening for over 80,000 people and provided spectacles to more than 25,000 people identified with the need. MUKTA OPTICIANS has conducted eye testing camp for the village community, school children, corporate employees, senior citizens, local clubs, women welfare organizations and other communities and organizations in collaboration with Cipla Ltd, Sesa Goa, GSL, SGL, Fomento Resources, WOCKHARD, Konkan railway etc. Taking forward this passion for social work and with the vision to provide quality eye care to the community in need, Mukta Opticians under its Corporate Social Responsibility C.S.R. founded the eye care NGO as ìMukta Dristhi Foundationî(MDF) with the following objectives to provide eye care services for the underprivileged people and the general community; to provide eye care education and create preventive eye care awareness; to promote sustainable entrepreneurship in eye care services;to promote general health care and preventive health care awareness through health education; to collect data on eye health and utilize for research and development; to provide guidance & support to develop visually impaired community.
